I want everyone that sees this to check out the 5 new songs I just posted up on my page. These are the first 5 beats i've made on Fruity Loops. I got FL about a month ago and am still trying to figure everything out. None of the beats are mixed or equalized or anything like that. Just check'em out and lay some feedback on me. Peace

strange island - the high-end violin/synth is nice. the panning noise
is nice too. Nice beat

New line up - i like how it starts. i'm not crazy about the main
instrument sound... but i'm sure others will like it.

Creepin and crawlin - very nice rhythm parts. the guitar is dist. guitar
is pretty sweet, most times "faked" guitar sounds lame, here it's nice.
i don't know about the part where the beat drops off... maybe the dist
guitar could drop/fade there too?

finally- the synth hook is nice. back n forth bounce! can't wait
to hear a final mix

antoher one - don't like the begining. takes too long to get to the
little whistle hook... least favorite...

They are pretty nice man! Since you said they haven't been mixed, I wont criticize the mix, but make sure you go and fix them!

Another One- Nice synth on the melody. A little loud in my opinion. Nice synth on the hook. Overall, a good composition.

Finally- Wierd intro, but a nice beat after that. The drums need to be louder, IMO.

Creepin and Crawlin- Nice beat...it sounds different from what you usually hear. This will be interesting to hear when its finished.

New Line Up- This beat was my least favorite...it could be pop i guess...it changes up too much IMO. The wah's at the beginning need to go.

Strange Island- Definitely strange...nice synths in there. Interesting beat, wierd drums. The accompaniment synth at around 45 seconds sounds a little off. Try finding a free VST for choirs, the 1nes in FL stink man.

These aren't bad, and you can only get better from here!

Appreciate it! I do have a different style, that's why many don't understand my beats. On "Strange Island" that synth that comes in at about 45 seconds is a lil off pitch because I think tha sample contains two notes, one of them that is in the right pitch with the beat. You're right, im only gettin better. Peace

I LikeThe Creepin and Crawlin Track. You Should download some vsti's and some Drum Kits everything that comes with fl is kinda wack and over used it wont be long before you get tired of that styrus and slayer and what not.

another one - has a real 80's vibe to it which i like, I could see it out today once it getz polished. I wouldnt change any of it.

finally- reminds me of a boss level on contra or some shit, its hard. I like it. i think for the hook u should just leave the drums out all togheter for dramatic effect, then bring the verse back in with that high synth from the beginning.

creepin - in the opening it kinda sounds like it has too much going on. Once it drops on it gets a lil better. Instead of dropping the drums, Id drop the bassline and then bring it back in with that timpani roll. but its def workable.

new line up- the main synth is tight but it sounds like a note is off in ur scale, like ur hittin the arab scale at first and then u veer off one or 2 notes it kinda throw things for me atleast, the avg mc wouldnt mind it I think

strange island - sounds alot like the beats I used to make on FL when i first got it lol I like the drum pattern and the riff in it. All its missin is an MC lol

Different style, but that's what makes folks like us unique. I like the gansta 1 and the last 1 the best, but overall the skillz show.

I feel u bout these changes. On "New line up" I kind of went free form and when the low synth came in I could see that tha main melody was off on a few notes but I still liked that melody so I kept it tha same. "Another One" does have an 80's vibe like Thomas Dolby type melody. Appreciate the feedback.
