no disrespect to these young cats out there but, when I was your size, you beatboxed, or sold enough(namsayin?) to get a MPC3000 or a SP-1200. that was it.
Cakewalk didnt show on my radar til I was 22.
so yea it's easier for yall in a way, but the digital advantage is spread pretty even...
I'm just glad that yall cats got a different struggle than the one I came up under...
now if we can just stop making yesterdays beats...

I must agree with tha last statement. All I can say to tha young producers is when you first start you gotta learn from other greats like Dr. Dre, Neptunes, Lil Jon, etc. even if you do remakes of their beats(keep this up until you master copying), then put a twist on that whole style and experiment and the last step after all this, use your knowledge of music and begin to invent until you find the style you're best at. It takes everybody a long while till they are great, except Mozart.
