I think its fucked up when you only get four votes to decide the win,An everyone voting dont even like that style of music...So it really depends on whos voting at the time.Everyone wants to hear tracks that sound like they on the radio instead of which track is original! It seems the more you sound like somebody that already has there own style that made it big the better, like timbo or dre...Fuck that do somthin new or at least diffrent...Even though its all been done,DO YOU thats all I'm sayin.Dont put a track up an say heres a track that sounds like Dre,thats called bein a biter.

its marketing man, the people buyin beats dont want a beat that sound completely diff than what theyve ever heard, the producers that are good can still stick with a mainstream style but add their own flavor into it, i mean if you wanna be creative thats cool, do what you gotta do, dont knock other peoples hustle tho if thats how they makin sales, and on the voting tip i feel you, ive lost many "hip hop" battles when other dude puts up a dirty south beat, but whatever you gotta adapt to your surroundings

i gotta agree with keys! don't knocc anotha persons hustle. The fact of the matter is you can sell more for entitling your music "Timbo Style,Dre Style ect..." cause thats what people want a knocc off of a timbo beat or suttin' not everybody has 500,000 to work with sumone like Timbo so gettin' a producer that can imitate tha style is not biting its being on your grind homeboy. Its the samething as rappin' what ever style is hot at the time will sell for instance "Snap music like Soulja Boy ect..." i hate tha shit but thats whats hott not gangsta not westcoast muthafuccing snap music so you have to adjust to the hustle. As for the battles others need take the genre into point instead just voting cause they think tha Dirty beat is hotter than the hip hop in a hip hop battle.

so then isnt that following the leader? trying to come up the same way producers of today came up? i mean i see what your sayin, yeah have your own style and sound, but you can save that for demos to majors, for artists that your workin with that are up and comin, im here to sell beats first and foremost, soundclicks a site thats more about showcasing your talent or creativity or whatever

Iight since we gon' open it up like this. Don't you think them others producers had producers they looked up to? how to progress them and yourself is up to you not anyone else. Americas built on follow the leader and making money everybody has did it i don't care who you are or what you say so where along your life you have did something sumone else has did regardless of if you've noticed or not!... "Hustling to get to the top" doin' shows, promoting and selling out the trunk if im not mistaken these other producers had to do the same so whats makes you any different and have tha right 2 knocc sumelse for just grinding on whats hott and whats not?... Need a example? Dr.Dre one the founders of N.W.A had to recruit Eazy E for financial baccing so does that mean he's a follower? considering he's one the top producers in the world...FYI.....

Dre is a producer and eazy e is a rapper therefore he is not a follower but a smart man that needed the money...Not everyone is a follower you really think everybody follows in america.NO they learn from people and do it there own way...And there way separates them from the rest.....SO lets make a fucking robot that imitates the hot beats that are on the radio then we wont need producers they will all sound the same, FUCKING HOTT!Everything is done for the love of money not for the love of what it is you are doing, and thats whats wrong with america!People will do anything for a fuckin buck!money is a tool not the reason to live..Would if you didnt need to make money cuz you where rich?Would you still do what you are doing?

Yes i would still do what i do if i was rich but im not. The fact of the matter is i've been doin' music for over 10 years if i aint love it i would of quit a long time ago. Say what you want everybody follows sumbody period, plain and simply. It don't matter if Eazy was a rapper and it don't matter Dre is a producer he followed where tha money was going bacc to your line since you think your right tha would make him a follower. If you aint here to earn a lil money why are you here? put your stuff up for free! but you want to earn sum money for your work right and so does everyone else. Its the same thing with rap you'll get on the radio quiccer if you diss sumone rather than making a hit song. As for followers, take a trip with me bacc to gangsta music " Ice-t,N.W.A,Snoop ect.." are all these followers just for doing what was hot at the time, one person put out a gangsta hit then everyone did it "bacc to my point they followed what was hot" you do what you have to, to get in the game and stay not from being original i bet if you hit your label with "im not gonna do that song because its not me" they would drop you look at tha past homie. Im not fussing with you about this but i do think you need open your eyes a lil mo' and look around.

You gotta love what you do! You gotta use periods cuz it's getting confusing reading what you're writing. I don't think it's so much that everyone follows someone else but more that everyone ends up doing something that contains some of the same elements previously done sometime in tha past. Listen to Will.i.am's beats and you'll have a hard time finding whos style he's following all tha time. He'll extract pieces from previous works, whether it be a rythym or part of a melody, history repeats itself in different forms.
I think we're all here to earn some money and exposure but that's just a basic fundamental thing that we all share. Like what if I asked you if you breathe air? You'll say yes and then i'll say "then you're following everybody else?". Of course you are because that goes without saying.
You're right that many successful people basically copy others, they just follow the changing styles. But who are these people that are always changing the styles? Like tha 1st dude who made a snap beat or tha first dude who used indian flutes in his beat. All those people created something new and people started following them. We can always create something new that others will catch on to real quick as long as you got tha talent and tha drive and inspiration. Just look at tha history of producer innovators in hip hop, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Will.i.am, Scott Storch, RZA, Mr. Collipark, Lil Jon, and it goes on. So are you saying that you aren't capable of doing this?

I sell them because I spent time and effort and if sombody wants to use them they got to give me some earned money of theres, and I have given beats out FREE....I think alot of those names you said where at one time doin THERE thing until they sold out for money and thats when they became somthin else...ice t is done for... N.W.A is no more and Snoop used to be coo until he sold out to this radio bullshit now his shit sounds nothin like his older GOOD shit!I think YOU need to look around. Its all about who can get you through the door now days not how skilled you are.Soulja boy is garbage my 10 year old cuz can rap that fuckin shit...He'll be here and gone before you know it!Never be classic around doin platinum records like NAS or Kanye or be around doin shit like KRS One,he will be here and forgot about because he cant keep doin this shit CUZ his shit is truly wack!Jus cuz you sell a hit single dont make you great or at all good,it means you got alot of airplay,I'm not sayin that goes for everyone but it goes for alot of one hit wonders......................Maybe YOU should listen to that track by GANG STARR on "the owners"album called "PEACE OF MINE"...take a good listen...are you sayin Gang Starr one of the all time greats of hip hop is jus talkin shit!...Take a good look around!!!...I'm jus sayin.

Thats what I'm tryin to say BLAK...You hit it right on the head!I dont mean everyone is gonna have somthin TOTALLY new cuz its all been done before..jus dont try other producers styles cuz its gonna get you payed, try a new twist to it.Like the producers BLAK is talkin about they tried a new twist to shit that sounded nice, and did there twist of hip hop...as long as it is hip hop let it be if it aint hip hop dont call it hip hop....Call it rap or somthin else...Do you, dont copy to make money!

People are mad stupid they do what they are told. Eat this wear this listen to this. You get told this shit all day long every where you. If its the product everybody wants it. People dont want something different they want to fit in they want to belong to something, music is a extentsion of that whole outfits and ways of speak come along with it too. Music biz has always been like this every now and then someone breaks thru with something different but not to often.
As Far as battles you win some lose some whatever you know people love to hate and alot of people got bad taste. Im gonna do what I like I dont care whats on the radio. I never listen to it none of the best rap music was ever on the radio anyway. Most of the best rap records were sold with no air play no videos. I mostly listen to records from 30+ years ago and my own beats I dont really know what people are listing too. But People still like my music. Let everybody else jump on a band wagon you can watch them drive it off a cliff down the street.
