The biggest thing that makes FL so good is the same thing that makes it bad, it is ready to go out the box. less experienced cats ca just jump on and fill in the blanks without ANY prior experience at all.
I apologize to anyone who may have had difficulty using it, but I never heard of such a thing.
FL is deep, it's not leafdrums, its cheap and it's pretty solid... you can easily do any basic and even most intricate functions within the program, snatch a sound off a CD edit in edison, etc etc...
its ease of use has attracted many beginners and so it became known as the beginners kit... Reason as a counterpart (ever wonder why it's these two?)
has a much higher learning curve... its doable, but not as easily as FL.
Graphically R stomps FL, I havent seen 8 yet, but no matter, reasons rack style is the freshest, I just wish there was a diff input/sequencer system, maybe others agree with me.
Most people say you cant "fox" with R without a control surface. I aint even tryin...
not when I can point and shoot in FL so naturally...
lastly it's vanity, the whole community sees FL as gay and on top of that they cant shake the name frooty loops, that name SUXMONSTERCOKS, but, I digress
when someone asks you what program you use you wanna say orP-tools , but then to say, FL, and they say oh frooty loops? it's like this, gearwhores are vain, and FL aint bling, see what I'm sayin?
I gotta check out 8 and see if it's really worth upgrading, and to my man Skip; 7 aint gay! why u say that for man?
getNAQTADEF!
clever?

once you master it, you can make a good quality beat in half the time it takes to make a good quality beat with hardware.

Fruity loops go hard. You just got to master it and mix down ya track good and its a wrap. Its really simple but its all up to the producer thats making the beat to make the beat stand out.

yo im siCC of this debate on FL or reason. Its tha same thing with what ever hand you write with in which case its what ever software you like. People knocc FL all the time talkin' bout how bad it is but put money on it they just suCC at using it same thing with Reason some producers are good at reason sum suCC at Reason its all bout you.

its more like a discution, letting people know what software people are/and are not using and how they feel about it.....its all good fam...i brought up this discution for the soul purpose of expressing how i felt about the software.....i mean, people get stuck on one piece of software and feel like thats all they need...maybe true...again, its only my opinion

I like FL cause it was easy for me to start making beats from the get go...I did try Reason for a short time, but I ain't got a midi controller so I had to rewire thru FL...I ultimatley decided to stick with FL because I didn't have the slightest clue about how to even start using Reason...Everything just seemed more complicated to me than FL, but perhaps I'll give it another shot when I get some new equipment and some more time on my hands. I'm always up for tryin new stuff
