When an artist buys one of your hottest beats, and when they make a song on it, it just sounds garbage?

o hellllll yea! its a damn shame =/ all the hard work you put in, culd just be pissed away, most these kids rappin today dont even try to go with the beat, they just dick around, and if you were to take out the vocals of the song, it would still be a song, if you take the beat out and leave the vocals, its nothing...producers need more respect, we really make the hit, and its too bad that ppl are just pissin away good beats...

Yeah I really hate when that happens. Everything now is about mass production. How fast can we finish these songs. Quantity over quality. Producers used to be in the studio with an artist making sure the song came out right. Records had a theme and concept too. One or two producers would do the whole ten to twelve songs. Take a look at some of the classics and read the credits. Form Rock, Hip Hop, to R&B Electronic etc. Each album had a distinct sound. Now, ever one wants to get on who ever has the hot track of the month. And cats are so quick to mix tape one of you tracks on some garbage it's crazy. To deliver a rhyme and be effective, you first have to be original and develop a style of your own. You don't have to have the best subject matter, (but it helps) it's the way you say what you say. And if you don't have it, do something else. Listen to what's out there. Be honest with yourself. If your flow is trash, keep working on it. But how can we be surprised. The wack people who try out for American Idol have to know they sound like shit. They are usually the ones who get an attitude when Simon says.. YOU SOUND LIKE SHIT!!!

No disrespect but money isn't everything. You could get a nice check once and if the song is trash because of the person on the song, they are going to label you as the producer trash too because we are responsible for the song from thought to finished product. First thing they ask is, who produced that song. Not who produced that beat. If a person doesn't motivate you creatively, don't compromise your future. Pass on the project for someone you believe in. If it's big bank, then you have to do what you have to do. Of course don't be a fool. Just make sure you have enough in the pipe line to redeem yourself.

I think it's personal, what do you like more the beat or the lyrics or maybe both, anyway not all producers make hits and i don't think that there's one person on this planet that like all songs, that's why we have so many genres look how many styles we got when comes to hiphop.
what i'm trying to say is that you might find an artist crap but somebody else just might think that it's the shit. so i also believe that money is money cause it's all about the public either they like it or they don't.
