Its not about gettin all the sounds u can possibly fit onto a track thats gonna make it dope. Alot of cats on here seem to be having this problem and thats why I've decided to point it out. You've gotta visualise how the vocals r gonna fit in and express the music to its fullest. Its more than just about gettin ur loops and sequencing them to run for a couple of minutes, u need 2 capture feelings in ur music!!!
If any1 got anything else to add on this particular topic...dont b shy.

yeah , but i wouldn't call it the wack producer syndrom , I'd call it the " how the f. you gone work and explain the beat to every artist that buys your chit , and does that artist feel that beat the same way you do ?" syndrom ... feel me ...

Boss you right! Some times its the simple beat that gets the job done. I have to make myself make a simple beat because my style of production is freestyle in case you checking out the forums and never heard my tracks in battle. I hear so much possibilities in every track and every now and then like a lot of you out there I over saturate a track with sounds. I try not to post something that I made right then on the spot. I come back to that track with fresh ears the next day or a few hours later to make sure that in the heat of making the track I didn't loose focus. "Focus Daniel Son"

U right Bosserati, but u know alotta people on here aren't used to makin beats so all they can do is mess around and hope for tha best. Nobody's great when they first start but over time they might be able to express themselves through music better than they could before. Some cats are just lazy and rely on a simple melody and then match every note with a bunch of other synths to make it sound live. Tha program im workin with, tha synths are never strong so I gotta bring in a variety of synths and work with them in a way were im not bein lazy with it. In battles I always let people know if they're being lazy with tha melody cuz there's not a lot of variety in some of these songs. That's why diversity, variety and interesting songs are what makes real music. Otherwise you're just a computer picking random notes and then multiplying them hoping they'll turn out to be a tight song.

thats real OG i have to make myself do that also... i realized if i give myself some hours after i finish a beat then i go back and master it thats when a quality mastering job is done, if i try to do it all in one push i tend to slack on the mastering because ive been so immerrsed in the beat that its hard for me to distinguish what needs to be done on the levels and what not

U shudnt b impatient my brother, u gotta invest time and more time in ur music if u wanna be great @ it. Ask Quincy Jones and Dr Dre both phenominal producers, they'll tell u the same thing. Quincy Jones spent about 2 weeks tryna correct a hi hat on MJ's Thriller, tht should tell you sumn.
