I always set up my own default patch that I'm comfortable with. Then start with the drums I pan and adjust most of the drums and levels for them using the power of Redrum. Then I'll start thinking of melodies or something to spice the track up, or maybe I'll put in a bassline then. After I get a real good idea of the song I might layer some instruments and start individual track EQ and special effects. After all that is complete I'll set up my Aux sends and get ready for the more potent mixing, usually I'll set up my Aux sends as follows.

1. RV7000 (Only if I need to tweak the reverb) the RV-7 works good to.

2. DDL-1 Delay (Not always but when you need some moving in the mix) It's perfect for that job.

3. CF-101 Chorus Flanger (Good for making synths stick out and light adjustments in your mix) Use your ears to.

Then after I Aux my shit I'll start level adjustments on the individual faders and EQ my shit "Very Lightly" with the mixers EQ. After it all seems perfect I'll move up to the Combinator and get a nice firm sounding mix, bounce to a 24 Bit import in Pro Tools and upload on MyBeatShop. But when it comes to critical sessions I'll bounce everything into Pro Tools for mixing and everything there. Hope that helps ya out man. Best of luck!!!
