I just bought these studio monitors and im not quite sure how to connect it to my laptop. Help please.

if you have active monitors,u gonna need either a mbox,mixer,or any interface that supports XLR...if u have pacive montors u gonna need somtin to power those speakers,an amp...and then still an interface, i have the Behringer B2031A studio monitors...i jus got a mixer for the XLR input and for volume controll!

Also you can get an external soundcard that supports xlr and the kind of cables you find on a VCR or DVD player (forgot the actual name for them.) I use the DVD/VCR cables for my monitors, they are cheaper than XLR cables and do the same thing.

Wouldnt that make a lil difference in sounds quality???maybe not even enough to notice lol,but ya thats tru..XLR cables aint cheap lol..

The XLR balanced cables definitely sound better than the RCA unbalanced especially when sending a hotter signal.
