Yeah it seems to be industry standard now since everyone is using ProTools but it's too expensive considering Logic comes with so much for only $399. I hear protools on a PC is of course not nearly the same stability or quality you're going to get in an Apple product (though I've never owned an Apple product in my life save for an iPod). Just my 2 cents MacOSX 10 runs it's own flavor of BSD which is a flavor of UNIX so it's why Mac's are much more stable, efficient with resources, less prone to viruses, and for the most part are less prone to any kind of crashing or memory race conditions.
