ProTools is what most cats/studios use... I bet Logic will be what ProTools is today though.

MOST BIG TIME STUDIOS HAVE PRO TOOLS IVE SEEN A FEW WITH LOGIC AND NUENDO BUT THEY WERE A BIT LOWER END. ALTHOUGH IM NOT A FAN OF DIGI DEDSIGN AND I KNOW THE QUALITY IS RELATIVELY THE SAME. ARTISTS EXPECT PRO TOOLS.

^^^^ Exactly and when it just has to be a Pro Tools session. Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Sonar, Magix, Reaper etc just don't cut it.

This has been an on going argument for years. Logic to me is better to build music in. Pro tools is better to track and mix to. I have seen people get stupid on both and the sound quality is the same. If you have excellent converters, you will be good. Pro Tools is just an industry standard because it's the program of choice. If Digi Design doesn't get off of that RTAS only shit and allow their plug ins to be used on other platforms such as Live, Logic, Cubase, etc. They are going to fall off. They really suck in that department for real.

THIS is real talk. Everybody loves to jump on the PT bandwagon because it's the most popular system out there. All the major studios have at least one PT rig. With that said, I think it's a great setup and lots of hit records are made with it. At the end of the day, use what you like. I LOVE Logic Studio, but that's just me. Once you get past the steep learning curve, Logic unlocks your creativity...not to mention Apple lowered the price to $500 now, and it comes with 1,000's of instruments and sounds. Just my 2 cents.

True that... I'd say get nice with both. That way where ever you're at you're versatile with either.
