Recycle 2 Years, 3 Months ago Give Props!: 3
I want to learn how to sample using Recycle so I can use the sample in Reason.....I tried it myself and I can pretty much get a drum sample to work right, but when it comes to a sample such as a section in a song with vocals and music, I just cant do it right. Does anybody know how chop up a sample in Recycle properly? Could anybody give a brotha some tips?

Much appreciated

Yup anyone chopping samples on a software it would be nice to get some info on that...
I use Kontakt wich is great for looping sounds etc. and I can chop up a drumloop alright, but chopping up anything else is pretty hard.
I saw some videos on MPC's where you have tou use the scroll and select your chops... well anyone who knows software that does that let me know and how to use it.
All valuable things come at a price. I don't do McBeats. With that said : check out my beatshop.

Native Instruments Intakt is great for chopping samples bro. You load a sample, select the 'beatmachine' option and it auto-slices your sample, then you can add or remove slices and map each slice to different key on your midi keyboard.

yo...

i chopped with recycle like 2wice...

so forgive me if i forget some details...

load your .wav sample in recycle...

then use the sensitivity bar to determine HOW MUCH chopping you wanna do...

or drop the sensitivity bart to zero and MANUALLY use the pen to add your slices

you can also eq your sample in recycle..

then save as a REX file and throw it into Reason's Dr. REx instrument.

Yo Nuclear HEadz!...you told me you use battery2...it think that it's easier to slice in Battery and easier to CHANGE your slices in Battery...Cuz once you save in REcycle, that's that..those are the slices you saved..if you wanna change your cuts...you gotta reload and re save..

hope this helps...

i'm waiting for my KONTAKT to download...would love a tutorial on that once i get it!

Oo

i chop up my samples in sonar and load them into the nnxt advanced sampler in reason and then u have evn more capability to fine tune the sample, throw a digital vocoder on that mugg and eliminate some of the highs or lows and then ur good

I chop the samples with recycle for my mpc.

Set the bpm and the sample lenght correctly and it will be very easy. Then go to view and choose show grid. You can also add according to the grid drom process, but it's a bit excessive.

I personally just zoom it from the bottom left corner and chop the samples manually with the pen tool.
