My Home Studio - What about yours? 3 Months, 1 Week ago Give Props!: 3
Here's my new studio ya'll hope you like it though it's ghetto rigged at the moment, but some hustle and flow shit bout to go down :

Computer Setup with the KRK's and the M-Audio AXIOM 49 :

Akai MPD32 :

MIC Sterling Audio ST55 :

And it's metal popguard :

The booth :

This actually didn't cost me too much to piece together and works FANTASTIC. For another 52 dollars I'll get two more auralex foams for the closet as it's rock solid I haven't had any problems recording on it yet. Let me know what ya'll think and let me see you're setups. One love.

Also I love constructive criticism so if you see something I could do better or you would do, let me know. I might like it, I might not.

The MPD32 is a fantastic set of pads and I use it mostly for Drums and stabs, then switch to the Axiom for rhythms, It has a shit ton of knobs and faders for controlling anything in software and there are presets for pretty much every piece of software out there. Can't beat it's a TANK.

Thanks for the props folks. Also I noticed a few folks out here are saying that "software only" can still make bangers. Keep in mind really I'm still only using "software only" (Reason 4.1 for the beats, Sound Forge for mastering, and Acid for recording) to make and produce my music. These hardware pieces (The M-Audio Axiom and AKAI MPD32) are both midi only controllers are just used to control it and get a feel for it.

You can definitely make jams without any hardware but for me I need that visceral feel of something I can bang on, reach out and touch, etc. It also speeds up *my* workflow now that I've gotten used to it.

Also, these KRK Monitors are KRK RP5 Generation 2's and are worth every single dollar. I would recommend anyone that has these set them to -6 at maximum for most applications depending on how hot your line level is.

The MPC's are pretty overpriced still, if you want straight up MPC with samplers and sounds that's great, but if you have all the software you can just an MPD24 or MPD32 and bang them out. The Pads are rock solid and are the authentic MPC pads.
