Yep, to automate stuff, you right click on the knob/slider/whatever and click "Create automation clip". Then in the playlist you'll see it below your patterns. You can make automation clips for just about anything that can be changed.

yeah, but automation is linked to the time as a positioning tool, so, when I edit a track and shuffle parts around, the automated tempo changes fades whatevers stay right at the same position.
maybe Im doing something wrong, in fact I hope I'm doing something wrong but I fade manually. I do a couple other things wrong too, but then again the MPC 3000 was sposed to be a guitarists toy. ha ha.

yeh u can do this with the master volume(velocity) or on the pitch.. create the shape in the automation clip section and u can slow a beat down or up in sections, but then return to normal pitch the the rest of the track etc (have a look for automation videos on flstudio on youtube theres loads..

yeah homie, u can fade out at the begining/end of a beatz what i do is i usually high lite the section an then use automation,to fade the beat out. make sure your frequences pitches r not off . cause your beat will sound jacked up ... you using FL , i use FL7. hopefully it works for u if not get at me.

yo wut it do playa i've try'd ta fade out my beat on fruity loops but i couldn't figure it out so the easyest way for me is i juz make the beat on fruityloops then i use cool edit pro ta make my beat fade in and out it only takes about a couple seconds ta do it but yea that the easyest way for me n-e-way keep doin yo thang 1luv bz.........
