THATS WHY I GET PAID TO give feedback to producers because I know what will sell!!!!

and to add to what he is saying....There are other genres outside of hip hop THAT are untouched still and are a gold mind....Be a diverse artist you will make mor e money.....

Wut makes a hit takes a number of things 1st u have to have a catchy song the equation is hot beat+hot hook+hot rhyme any one of these can land u a hit then U have to have timing putting it out when people are receptive to something new then U have to have marketing and promoting most of these components must be in place for u to be successful which iz why most people fail.

I feel where a lot of ya'll are coming from. And I never thought I would be making beats someday. My main motivation is money. I don't want to live uncomfortable anymore. I want to be able to do whatever I want when I want. The only problems I want in the near future is to be what to wear for the day or whether I feel like doing a show or some ya dig? I've read some old PROPHECY that in the future more people will be making a lot more more money and that poverty will be dented greatly and some time after that money wont exist. Ya'll can snub me all yall want for mentioning it but the person who wrote that wrote it in the 1500 and predicted a lot of other shit thats happend already....long story short..

I am just tryna be comfortable now...i dont wanna wait til later...

If i gotta make beats for a new crowd its done...

I could really careless about music, beats, or any of this shit.. I'm just tryna set my life up for the better.

Cause workin a 9-5 is bullshit...somebody got to do it..but I'd rather do it every once in a while on some charity shit...ya dig...

ROBOTS ARE THE FUTURE...PRETTY SOON THEY'LL BE DOING YA JOB TOO.....dont believe me ...in DE most stores don't have cashiers any more BUT A COMPUTERIZED SELF-CHECK-OUT...JUST STEP ONE IN THE REVOLUTION OF COMPUTERS....

aka .com....a haaa :jadakiss laugh:

Post edited by: Pressure Man, at: 2007/10/08 15:31

There are diff markets for diff tastes...I disagree when u say women buy most the records....actually its the kids that buy most the records maybe mothers who use they card to buy shh fo they kids but to answer ya question not just a beat makes a hit ....sometimes the actual song itself sells like soldier boy or sometimes its the track like 50 cent in the club you never know bottom line u have to be catchy...A lotta hiphop producer purists make shh complicated and actually over produce leavin no room for the artist gotta be a marriage a fusion between beat, rhyme and hook

i jus need to work on my promotion skills more then. lol realtalk i think thats where most producers get sidetracked. they have the crazy beat but have no 1 to listen to it. aka no promotion or support. i know thats where im messin up at.

for the person who says "Compression is not for hiphop" you are only speaking for yourself. I personally have been taught that compression is good if used correctly and in moderation. IF you dont like compression than say you dont like it, dont say everybody should not use compression on hiphop cause in reality, there is many different ways people use to get the right sound, if compression is needed than so be it.

im not saying you dont know what you are talking about but im also not saying i agree with you.
