Another World 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago Give Props!: 9
This is a site for music, therefore i'd like for those that have ears that can stand music besides hip hop, like soundtrack type music, to check out my greatest creation yet. It doesn't have drums or anything like that, it just sets different moods that you can listen to in tha dark, ha ha. Tha song is my musical interpretation of all tha dreams I can remember from tha past. You don't gotta give me feedback or "criticism", just sit back and let the music take you to wherever it takes you. It's something like a thinking mans song. Any listeners would be greatly appreciated! Peace

This is the link to tha site where tha song's at. http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/BNG

it is a pretty good start into orchestral pieces ...what did you use to make it? it sounds too artificial for me, but thats just my opinion. Keep it up man, you only can get better!

P.S. - If you don't mind, please take some time to review my beats on here...thanks

I appreciate you takin tha time to listen to it! What do you mean too artificial? Like it's too far away from actual instruments like violins, violas, etc.? I know what you mean but I don't have any real instruments to work with. Also, I wanted to use artificial sounds like strange synths because I think that better reflects the mystery of dreams and creates a more unique atmosphere, u know? I made it on FL and im still new to tha program so I still don't know how to mix yet.
I will review ur beats as soon as I can. Peace

Thats a Cool Track. Reminds Me Of Some Early Electronic Music Like Tangerine Dream
or Vangelis maybe even kraftwerk. Which is All Good Music that you should check out and have heard songs from them in movies that you had to have seen. They all have done mad soundtracks too. Like Vangelis did The Chariots of Fire Soundtrack, Kraftwerk Did the Das Boot Soundtrack and Tangerine dream did The Risky Business Soundtrack.

You can get some Pretty Real Orchestral Sounds Out of Fruity Loops. Get Some Soundfonts, Add a Litte bit of Decay and Release and Some Reverb is all you need. Mixing In FL is simple Just set the Volume for each track. Try and use Little or no Eq and Compression. I never really mix my tracks I feel that it ends up being a waste of time, Beacuse it usally sounds the best when I really dont do anything to it. If Somethings is To loud turn it down if its to Quiet turn it up thats all you really need to do. Oh yea and it helps if to drop the tracks in the mixer and use the sends for Reverd ETC. Otherwise everything is Mashed on to one track ya know.

Greatly Appreciated! I have heard of Vangelis and he's got some pretty good tracks, most notably the one you mentioned "Chariots of Fire".
I will have to search for those orchestral sounds on FL. Where are they at? I will take your advice and try and use that on this song. I wouldn't describe the track as cool, ha ha.
I don't think anyone truly can "listen" to the song as a whole (understand everything that's going on) until they've listened to it over 5 times at least, u know? But im not tellin anyone to listen to it that many times. Thanks
Peace

So I listened a few more times. I hear a lot of music old music. So like I said its cool, Seriously though Look them cats up and you will see how much a compliment it is to compare your song to any of theirs. chariots of fire and the rest of the albums I named there are on the wack side of their work... except for the das boot that shit is so dope!
Oh Yea I forgot about jean michel jarre check him out too equinoxe. They all got like over 30+ records. Tangerine dream alone will keep you busy for days I think their Website is tdi.com or something all their music is pretty much on there. If its Classical yet electronic Music your feeling right now check out the wendy carlos album switched on bach. Its Bach all on a moog, Its was a ground breaking record in its time.
There is a lot cool moog albums out there.
Sorry to keep going on but I just want share the music that I think is some of the most amazing ever recorded. If you dont have a turntable get you one, alot stuff is only on vinly and you can get a better recording from a clean record than mp3 records cost 5o cent at goodwill, and you never know what you will find. I gotta go I talk about this all day..Peace
