Ok first off, I edited your speech some. So look at the bottom of this and tell me if this is what you were saying.
Okay let's look at your arguments shall we?
Your first point is that there's no difference between 1.putting just a vocal sample from another artist into your song, and 2.using an entire song from another artist in ur song. Is this correct?
Well, A vocal sample is a single instrument. A sample of an entire song however may contain a vocal sample, drums, strings, bass guitar, electric guitar, brass section, etc. 6 is different than 1 right? Okay, so when an artist sings solo, they create their own single melody right? Well with an entire song, there are several melodies playing simultaneously to give it that full sound. There's harmony, counterpoint, melodies, rythym, backing vocals perhaps, etc. With an entire song the composer creates a small to large group of instruments, all playing their own parts. The composer creates their song using their knowledge of music and many times put their heart and soul into it and they apply all of that to each instrument that they choose to use in that song and certain instruments will come in at different times throughout the song, sometimes they use more than one of the same instrument for harmony or counterpoint and all kinds of musical techniques. With a solo vocalist, they can sing a single melody at a time and they can put their heart and soul into it but it's still not the same as an entire song. Do you understand what I'm saying? Because there is a big difference!
Then you wrote something like "If a producer can spice up a beat from the 60's, 70's, and 80's so be it, as long as credit is given." How many artists do you know that give credit to the artists they sample from? But you're right. I should take one of your beats and sample parts of it and make it to where it sounds better to my ears, but don't worry, I'll give u credit by typing ur name into the description somewhere. Or maybe I should use your tightest melody and use the same instruments you used and just change up the drums a lil bit, you'd be okay with that right? Remember that one dude that copied a beat that NYCE BEATZ did and NYCE went into the forums saying he's going to sew that dude for copying his work? And nyce beatz has sampled other artists music before. Is there something wrong here? Please explain all of this to me, please

I'm not trying to knock your music or anything. It's ALMOST the same as taking a hit recording artist and then putting their vocals on your beat.
I look at it like this. Great music is great music and people are always going to sample great music from such legends as "EWF, Diana Ross, Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Al Greene, Sam Cooke, etc..".
If you're inserting a vocal recording, that you did not write, over a beat that you created, why is it so wrong for others to recreate a beat or song? Because it's all the same.
If a producer can spice up a beat from the 60's, 70's, and 80's so be it, as long as credit is given.
No disrespect intended to anyone. Im just tired of people saying that sampling is so wrong. When a lot of the time it just so happens that they say this after losing a battle or something.
