• Can I get my Beat shipped in the mail on CD?
  Yes! You can get your Beat delivered on CD. We generally send out CD orders on Thursdays via priority mail (2-3 days). Just select the option to have your Beats delivered on CD for an additional $6.99 and you will receive both the email link and the CD.

• Can I transfer my Beats to disc or my computer?
  On the email that you receive, look for the download link (below the mp3 link) for you to download the beat to your PC. The link says: "Download ALL beats at once as a ZIP File". You will need to unzip the file with a program such as Stuffit Expander for Mac or Winzip for Windows. You will need to download and then unzip the file. Your Beats will be delivered in Mp3 format, so they can be easily transferred to a disc or MP3 player.

• Do I need an account to buy Beats?
  You do not need to set up an account to buy beats on MyBeatShop.com. Just click on the "Buy" button on the right hand side next to the beat price and it will add it to the shopping cart. The shopping cart interface is in the far left hand column. Once you add the beat, you can hit the PayPal checkout button to purchase a beat. We have many exclusive and non-exclusive beats for sale.

• How do I buy Beats?
  Buying beats at MBS is easy. Just browse and select beats then click on the "Buy" button next to them. You can hear samples by clicking on the "Play" button. When you click the Buy button on any song it is automatically added to your cart. To checkout simply agree to terms of service, and choose checkout method (Paypal or Secure Checkout) from the upper left hand corner of the page.

• How do i get my Beats?

• What is Non-Exclusive vs Exclusive?
  An exclusive ( EX ) beat is licensed to only person. A non-exclusive ( NE ) beat is licensed to more than one person. All licenses are commercial use, meaning you can use them for any album or media production. The completed song (beat + lyrics) is a shared copyright between you and the producer.

• When I buy a beat, can I use the song on my album?
  Yes! All beats have a commerical use license meaning you can use them for your demo or album and can perform your song during shows. Each license is good for ONE commercial project. This means you can use the beat for one album release, but must buy an additional license if you plan to use the beat on a "Greatest Hits" or Re-Release.

• Will the voice tag be removed from my beat after I receive it?
  The MyBeatShop.com voice tag is not overlaid on the beat that the customer buys. They will receive the beat as it was uploaded by the producer. We do not allow producers to put their own voice tags on their beats. This feature is simply to prevent piracy.

• How can I change the order of the beats on my profile page?
  Click the un-publish button, then click the publish button, and it will go to the top. Make sure to hit the publish button so that it is viewable by the public. If the beat says "Publish" next to it, click it! If you click "un-publish" it will be hidden. In summary, with two clicks you will have a beat on the top of your page and be ready to buy.

• How do I change my payment method to PayPal?
  To change your payment method to PayPal, login to your account and go to "Edit Profile" under the user menu. Under "Edit "Profile" on the "Account Info" tab, click the button next to PayPal under "Payment Method" and then enter your PayPal email address on the next line. When you are finished, scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Update" button.

• How do I upload my Beats?
  After you register, you will be able to upload your beats using the "submit new music entry" link on your profile on the "beats" tab. The beats must be between 3 and 10 minutes long. You can easily add another block of beats when your quota is full. Accepted format is mp3 only.

  MyBeatShop.com spends money on marketing the website to potential buyers. When a customer visits the website they can pick from a wide variety of beats to buy. Buyers will pick the beat they like best for the least amount of money. Price your beats competitively with ones in the same genre and of the same quality for best results. Here are some guidelines to increase your sales: - Upload a variety of different beats to please different kinds of customers - Make sure your tracks are "up to par", or else people will label you as wack - Price your beats moderately and realistically Remember to keep those beats HOT with bangin drum sounds and other fresh elements. It is a highly competitive market and being average will not cut it. Use the forums for information and look at similar beats when you are setting your prices. Also, you should make your profile as attractive as possible.

• Payments to Producers
  We pay Producers a portion of our actual receipts from the sales and licensing (including renewals) of Beats on MyBeatShop.Com within ninety (90) days after payment has been received. Payment will be made via PayPal® or by Check. We shall be paid an additional fee per Beat as a check processing fee with respect to amounts sent by us to you as a check payment. You are responsible for all PayPal® or other fees regarding payments made to you or otherwise to maintain your accounts current. You shall not be entitled to any portion of processing fees or insufficient fund charges we may collect from the users. We shall use our reasonable efforts to minimize bad / fraudulent transactions and to collect unpaid funds through various reasonable and practicable means. However, we shall not be responsible to pay you for any transaction for which we have not actually received payment. You shall reimburse us (or, at our election, we shall have the right to deduct from any future payments to you) your share of any amounts refunded by us to users because of technical defects.

• What audio file format should I use?
  You will need to convert all of your audio files to MP3 format in order to upload them to the MyBeatShop.com website. No other file types are supported at this time. There are many file conversion software to choose from available online.

• What is a Hot Beat?
  It means that your beat has been flagged as "hot" and will appear in the "hot songs" box on the front of the webpage. Hot beats get a little more exposure than others. Not to say non-hot beats aren't hot, its just that some beats have a unique flavor to them and should be recognized as such!

• When and how do I get paid?

  You can be paid via either a check or PayPal account, whichever is easier for you. If you do not have a PayPal account set up, we are happy to pay by check. Payments are sent on the last day of the next month AFTER your beat has been purchased. Example: A beat sold in January will be paid for on February 28th. In order to eliminate the risk of fraudulent payments, this is how payments are made: Beats sold the 1st through last day of a month, the payment will be sent on the last day of the NEXT month. As you can see, There may be a period of two months before you see the payment, longer if payment is to be sent by check. This will most likely be the way payments will be made from now to the future, so expect reliable and predictable payments for your beats!  

  There is a minimum payment threshold of $40 in gross sales before your payment is processed.  If your sales are less than $40 no payments will be made. If your sales do not reach the threshold in one year you may request payment.

• Why are my Beats not showing up on my Beat Tab?
  The problem is probably that you pushed the "Un-Publish" button on each beat. That makes it so nobody can see the beat. Click on the "Publish" link to make the beat able to be purchased. If you do that for other beats, they will become visible too (and is the default).

• Why didn't I get Paid? I Sold a Beat!
  DO NOT CALL SUPPORT There is a minimum sale of $39.98 needed for payout. You probably sold a beat for $39.97 or less. Wait until you make another sale and it will be grouped together and paid on schedule.
